Split Cockpit Runabout
T
his is a model of
the exact boat that was built in 1930 by the Dodge Boat and Plane factory
in Newport News, Virginia. All planking on the boat was done with
select African mahogany and fastenings were of bronze and brass. The
struts and rudders were cast of manganese bronze and were used with shafts
made of Monel metal. Solid nickel silver was the choice for all the deck
fittings, as well as the famous Sea-Nymph bow ornament.
This award winning model is
now available as an all wood, laser cut kit, with custom machined and cast
metal deck hardware made with the highest level of detail. Also
included is a complete set of vinyl cut graphics in gold leaf along with
waterline and chrome trim tapes. All kits will have M.A.C.K.
Products Precision Running Hardware included, allowing the modeler to
complete the model for static display, or with the addition of the
M.A.C.K. Power Package, make it ready for radio control. A 50 page
construction manual with numerous photos and CAD assembly drawings walk
you through the building process. And, yes, it does include that
famous, though scaled-down, Sea-Nymph.
With the introduction of the Dodge Boat Kit, M.A.C.K.
also introduces its affiliation with the Antique Boat Museum of Clayton,
NY. This and other boat kits presented under their trademarked logo
are replicas of actual boats which reside at the Museum.
