LEGEND MODEL BOATS
Length = 33.5 inches
Beam = 9-3/4 inches
Scale = 1/8
This is a model of the exact boat that was produced in 1930 by at Dodge Boat Works' Newport News, Va facility. All planking on the boat was done with select African mahogany and fastenings were made of bronze and brass. The struts and rudders were cast in manganese bronze and were used with shafts made of Monel alloy. Solid nickel silver was the choice for all the deck fittings, as well as the famous sea nymph bow ornament.
This award-winning model is now available in an all-wood, laser-cut kit, with custom-machined and cast-metal deck hardware designed to the highest level of detail. (Yes, that does include the famous — though scaled-down — sea nymph!) Also included is a complete set of cut vinyl graphics with gold leaf accents, plus water line and chrome trim tapes. The kit comes with a 50-page construction manual that contains numerous photos and CAD assembly drawings to walk you through the building process.
As with all Legend Model Boat kits, M.A.C.K. Products' complete Precision running hardware is included, giving the builder the option to complete the model for static display or, with the addition of the appropriate M.A.C.K. power package (sold separately), make it ready for radio control.
LEGEND MODEL BOATS

Descriptors like "legendary" and "classic" get tossed around a lot when discussing the beauty and performance of boats of a bygone area, but the 1952 Century Sea Maid truly embodies both terms. One of the last of the Sea Maids — production on the line ended in 1954 — the two-tone decks of the 1950s Sea Maids were arguably the most beautiful of the model's entire 24-year run.
This award-winning 1/6 scale model comes together from a completely laser-cut kit, which uses the finest mahogany, basswood, balsa and light plywood in its construction. The kit features custom castings and machined deck hardware, chrome-plated and polished to allow you to faithfully reproduce this miniature classic.
Taking the art of model-building to new heights, the 1952 Century Sea Maid kit includes premium features never before seen in kits, such as real rubber matting for the floorboards and real chrome for the deck trim.
As with all Legend Model Boat kits, M.A.C.K. Products' complete Precision running hardware is included, allowing the modeler to build a complete static model, or with the addition of the optional M.A.C.K. power package, build a fully operational, radio-controlled model. M.A.C.K. also offers optional light and sound package to bring this miniature classic to life.
SWISH BLADE
LEGEND MODEL BOATS
Length = 32 inches
Beam = 13 inches
Scale = 1/6
The 1950s and early '60s saw a surge in boat-building among amateur enthusiasts who were building their own watercraft to use on local lakes and rivers for recreation and family enjoyment. Boating magazines offered how-to assistance and even plans for purchase. These boats often relied on plywood construction, sold in kits with sheet planking and a no-caulk hull form. Fiberglass cloth and polyester resin made for watertight hulls with minimal care.
The SWISH BLADE is one example of this kind of DIY boat. The Legend Model Boats kit is a true 1/6-scale representation of a 16-foot outboard with a ski boat-type hull. The kit is completely laser-cut, using lite plywood framework, basswood stringers, a birch plywood hull, and mahogany veneer deck sheeting. Just as with the original home-built, full-scale ski boat, the SWISH BLADE offers ease of building in design, with quality materials furnished as part of the kit.
This kit will produce a model with an extremely fast and stable hull, making the SWISH BLADE suitable for both leisure and competition use. The powered model will run on 14.4 volts, using either two 7.2-volt NI-MH batteries or two 2-cell LI-PO batteries running in series hookup.
Click below for M.A.C.K. Products' compatible outboard power package, which must be purchased separately for the SWISH BLADE kit. If you, the modeler, have another electric or nitro-powered outboard at your disposal, the model is capable of handling 3.5 to 7.5 nitro motors.

DUMAS MODEL BOATS
Length = 38 inches
Beam = 9-3/4 inches
Scale = 1/12
Before the Great Crash of 1929 — when money was free-flowing and the '20s were still roaring — Chris-Craft spared nothing to produce a fleet of floating works of mahogany art for deep-pocketed clientele. As the name implies, these boats were built for wealthy businessmen to commute to their Wall Street offices from homes on the upper Hudson River or out on Long Island Sound.
The kit is full of richly detailed hardware, in both metal and urethane casting, along with flags, decals and much more. This is an all-wood kit that uses both birch and poplar plywood pieces die- and laser-cut for exact fits. Bass and balsa planking, along with a boatload of mahogany planking, round out the materials list, in addition to the laser-cut cabin parts.
As with the original commuter yacht, which was powered with a single Chris-Craft A-120 V-8, the model is powered with a single electric motor, with both brushed and brushless options available from M.A.C.K. Products.
M.A.C.K. Products also carries an upgraded Precision hardware package for use with this model.
